Accommodation in Fiji is the most commercial in the South Pacific with a dozen large hotel chains, over 50 holiday beach resorts, a handful of exclusive retreats and lots of budet beach resorts and backpacker hang outs. However, only on Denarau island in Nadi are resorts located side by side - in all other destinations the atmosphere is of pure seclusion.

With over 300 islands in Fiji, tourism is spread out around a wide area. The main concentrations are around Nadi Airport and the Coral Coast, both on the main island of Viti Levu. The main holiday island resorts are in the Mamanuca Islands with boutique resorts along the beaches of the Yasawas and amongst the tropical rainforests of the Northern Islands.
